Trophallhyphae is an installation and live performance that explores collective intelligence, organic growth, and emergent structures.
Built on a simulation of hundreds of thousands of particles, it combines the behaviors of living systems with the dynamics of flowing matter—part colony, part fungal network suspended in a continuum. These digital entities form currents, communicate, and feed on a constantly shifting field of resources, creating an ever-evolving living ecosystem in a continuos state of creation and disgregation.
In its installation form, Trophallhyphae runs as an endless, self-evolving environment where parameters such as food distribution, growth patterns and audio textures are continually re-seeded, generating ever-changing constellations of movement and sound.
In the live performance, sound becomes an active force, with audio signals driving parts of the simulation while other parameters are manipulated in real time, creating an interplay between performer.
